PIP 2012

I've finally begun my personal interest project for society and culture. I actually quite like my topic, it's rather interesting in my perspective. "How does death impact on an individual?" I've been reading and researching online about the two religions of Buddhism and Christianity which is my cross cultural study. Basically, my first chapter is like an introduction into the two religions and what happens after death.

I'm a Buddhist and so that part was easy. But I'm currently reading all about what happens to people like me when we die or what happens to those who believe in Jesus after death. I honestly don't hate or dislike the christian culture, I just don't like how they think that their religion is superior than every other.
While I was on "http://www.gotquestions.org/what-happens-death.html" I got a little worked up while reading what'll happen to those who don't believe in Jesus or who aren't Christian. Its understandable that they say that those who believe in Jesus would have all their sins removed and have eternal life in heaven, but what about us and people like me who don't believe, where we merely just have a different perspective on life and what religion we want to believe in. We go down to hell is that right? And have eternal misery. I don't believe that.

I'm glad I'm Buddhist because buddhism doesn't have anything about status or superiority of some sort written in a book. We merely just believe in enlightenment and where you go is all to do with karma, whether you have done good deeds or bad deed, it determines where you'll end up. Which is quite frankly FAIR. Those who aren't Buddhist can even go to heaven and aren't restricted from having eternal life. Actually there is no such thing as eternal life in Buddhism, a soul never remains in a "realm" for eternity, you either go down to hell, turn into an animal, become a human, a spirit or enter the realm of heaven. So, if you have done good deeds there is a certainty that you'll enter heaven or reincarnate into a human.

P.S. I still love those who are Christian. I just don't like that tinie part. Sorry.
